Ubuntu 19.04 image with VMware Tools
The newest Ubuntu release nicknamed Disco Dingo is out and here is our corresponding VMware image. The Ubuntu Dingo is not as fast as real dingos are, but it's much better than the Ubuntus of the last years. See below.
Ubuntu Dingo uses Gnome 3.0 as its flagship desktop environment, which was the right decision to get away from the old Unity. Still, the Gnome has its peculiarities, as is common with gnomes and the question is whether you would like more the Lubuntu or Xubuntu version of Ubuntu or not. Anyway, here we offer the Gnome version of Ubuntu, which is still the one most people want.
If you like more the straight and simple Lubuntu view of things we recommend our Lubuntu 18.04 LTS, because after that version Lubuntu switched the LXDE to LXQt and there are still some minor quirks to be resolved. Alternatively the Xubuntu 18.04 LTS is also worth a try.
In the mean time have fun with the new virtualized Disco Dingo 19.04.
Applications: Firefox, Synaptic, compiler chain, and some more tools.
